So Nick left for church camp this morning and to say he was excited was an understatement. Nick has no filter and this morning his no filter was actually a good thing. He talked non stop about what he was going to do at camp and what he hoped would happen (gee, I hope they live up to Nick's expectations). He was pumped about going and it didn't matter that he doesn't really know a lot of the kids. I'm sure there will be a few kids who are familiar to him from sunday school and his group leader that he had last year recognized him right away. My prayers these last several weeks have consisted of praying that Nick would find a connection with a boy or two - that he would feel part of a group (something he's really struggled with this past school year). As you can see Nick did not lack for enthusiasm this morning. Shyness is not a characteristic he lacks. Love him.
