We celebrated Lauren's 4th birthday yesterday! All of us remembered Dec. 3 four years ago when we made a frantic race to the hospital because my sister had gone into labor 3 months early and was delivering. When we got to hospital I found my niece in an incubator weighing only 2 lbs and looking no bigger than a jar of applesauce. But she was tough and so strong. We were all so thankful that the nurses affectionally referred to her as a "grower," meaning she was simply in the hospital to grow. She came home 4 weeks later and 4 years later she is sassy, fun loving and the queen of her castle - since she's the only girl in our brood of boys! Love you Lauren Grace.
